On this night, I found myself the sole companion to a small dam and a handful of ducks as the sun went down. It was an incredible sunset too, but capturing sunsets is not what I was here to do. My intention was to capture a unique side to a very familiar postcard mountain that people might look at and ask “where is that?”.
This is Mt Roland in Tasmania. First thing that people arriving by boat usually see, and one of the most frequently photographed places on this beautiful island. But most people wouldnt even recognize it. And that’s exactly why I wanted to take this photo.
